House Reconstruction Project in Gorkha

We are in a process to start constructing house in Gorkha District. The construction of house is to be commenced with making a prototype house in Nange village of Gokrha. This is one family house of Khanal family who now spend their days and nights under a temporary shelters made with the old zinc sheets and woods collected out of the earlier dilapidated home.

According to The Himalayan Times, more than 800,000 homes were damaged or destroyed & it pushed 1 million Nepalese below poverty line. An estimated four million people are still living in sub-standard temporary shelters in conditions that pose a threat to their health and well-being.

This project is to be funded by Lead Nepal UK in collaboration with Namlo Europa.
