We are pleased to distribute the farmers of Yarmasing, Sindhupalchowk with the agricultural accessories. 85 active farmers of Duguna VDC were provided with seeds of different seasonal as well as off-seasonal vegetables, organic pesticides, insecticides and the soil nutrients. Furthermore, they were provided with the 5 plastic green houses as an action for promoting the agriculture. They had completely left their village and agricultural lands after the earthquake engulfed their motherland. Our concept was to encourage them to start again with agriculture in the land which was left barren over a year as soon as they were evacuated to Kathmandu We tried to encourage them develop self dependency.

After over a year of the Nepal earthquake, 1150 villagers of 14 different clusters of Dugunagadhi VDC have been shifted to Kathmandu where they share temporary shelters in Camp Hope, located in Boudha. They visit back and forth to their village but all they have been left is the rubble and leftovers. They have made shelters in the village in addition to the shelters in Boudha, for them to be able to stay while they are in village.

The project was funded by Namlo Europa which is helping the villagers reach self sufficiency since 1999 when it first constructed a school in Yarmasing.
